But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Now let’s read what Apollyon, book 4 in the series is all about:įate isn’t something to mess with and now, neither is Alex.Īlex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. Again the links to buy Deity are here:Īmazon | Barnes and Noble | Book Depository | JLA Shop (these are signed!!) But it’s great because if you are just now buying the series you get a book and a half with just one purchase. Sadly you cannot get this in printed format anymore unless you buy the previous book which is Deity. It’s just a beautiful novella that ends way too soon and leaves us wanting more and more! Spoiler alert, his “duty” as a man to Alex wins every time! How he has been force to choose between his duty as a Pure sentinel and his “duty” as a man to Alex. It’s just everything we’ve been wanting to read from book one. With Elixir we learn what is happening with Olympus, what the Gods want and what Apollo might be planning to keep both Alex and Seth alive and also save everyone.īut this novella is more about the lengths Aiden will go to keep the love of his life alive and well. This leaves our lovely Aiden, Marcus, Apollo and the others to try and hide Alex until they can find a way to break the connection which doesn’t go over very well. She wants what he wants and her thoughts are not her own anymore.

If you remember at the end of Deity, Alex connects with the First, aka Seth and shit hits the fan. Rating wise Elixir obviously gets 5 out of 5 blue stars in the Then There Were Books Review Book, because it’s awesome! But this is the only part of the story told by his point of view and it’s the best thing from the whole series. My gosh do I wish we could get more Aiden with this series. See what I told you about Elixir being a novella and more complementary to Apollyon than anything else?Įlixir is a basically a bridge between what happened at the end of Deity and the beginning of Apollyon.Īgain if you don’t want spoilers from the first three books ( Half-Blood, Pure, Deity), please leave now, because spoilers are ahead.Įlixir being only 74 pages delivers a gut wrenching story told by our favorite Pure, Aiden. Even if it means making war against the gods. Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for. Let’s read what Elixir and Apollyon are all about:Īiden St. Today I’m talking to you about Elixir and Apollyon which they are technically two books, but Elixir is a novella and I don’t think you can get it by itself anymore so that is why I’m talking to you about them together.īesides they are basically complementary of each other so there is that.

How is everyone doing? I hope all of you are staying safe and maybe reading a lot during this lockdown.Īs you know I reread the Covenant Series from the beginning again and I decided to take you guys along for the ride of my reread with this book talks.
